Ok, so for those of those who like to follow me on Facebook, you might have noticed my frustating comment about my grades. I might as well come clean about it and explain it...
So at my school, I get 3 GPAs. Well Quality Point Ratings (QPR). I get a Graduate QPR (GQPR), Total QPR (TQPR), and a Cirriculum QPR (CQPR). The rules say that I must maintain a 3.0 GQPR, and a 2.75 TQPR. This is also true for me to graduate. This is where it gets tricky. Follow me closely. closer...closer... lol.
So the issue is that not every course qualifies for every QPR. Only 3000 and 4000 level courses qualify for my GQPR. And I am also taking Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) courses from the Naval War College, offered at my school. So because they are through a different program, the also do not count (although they are 3000 level courses) towards my GQPR. That is why I am currently on Academic Probation. For the second term in a row. My Current TQPR and my CQPR is 3.21. My GQPR is 2.91. My first quarter I only took one class that affected my GQPR, and I got a B-. Which is a 2.7, and below a 3.0. And this last quarter I had 3 3000 level courses. But one was a JPME course and didn't count for my GQPR. So that A- goes away. My other A- was in a 2000 level course. So the only thing that counted was my 2 Bs. Both 3.0, so that doesn't bring my GQPR above a 3.0.
Alas, my 3.39 GPA for the quarter, and I am still on Academic Prbation!!!! AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
